產(chǎn)品描述：Mouse hippocampal astrocytes are thought to form a highly coupled network. They contribute to neural functioning in the hippocampus, which is crucial for spatial memory formation. Disrupting this astrocyte network alters neuronal excitability and synaptic transmission in the hippocampus. In mouse models, inhibiting vesicle release from hippocampal astrocytes impairs recognition memory, while chemogenetic activation enhances contextual fear memory. These findings highlight the significant role of hippocampal astrocytes in hippocampus-dependent brain functions and behaviors. Their close interaction with neurons facilitates information processing and influences memory formation in the hippocampus.
